ANNA MEMBRINO (she/they) is a queer author and editor with over ten years' experience in children's book publishing. She specialized in picture books and early readers in the editorial departments of Random House Children's Books and Scholastic, both in Scholastic’s Book Club division and at their Cartwheel and Orchard children's book imprints.
In 2018, the publisher of Random House Children's Books recognized her drive to develop new and exciting talent, generate content in-house, and collaborate with her colleagues with the editorial department's Impact Award.
Anna is the editor of the #1 New York Times bestselling picture book Grumpy Monkey, and their books have earned starred reviews and accolades from top literary review journals.
Additionally, they have authored thirteen books for children, including the bestselling Big Shark, Little Shark early reader series and the I Look Up To... board book series for toddlers. Their latest picture book, My Moms Love Me, is a celebration of queer moms and is available now from Scholastic.
Outside of the picture book world, Anna has coached NYU’s women’s division Ultimate Frisbee team, Purple Reign, since 2012, and remains involved in the sport’s community in New York City.
